Any Indian household with a valid electricity connection and a suitable rooftop is eligible for the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana subsidy. It applies only to residential on-grid rooftop systems. For 1 kW you get ₹30,000, for 2 kW you get ₹60,000, and for 3 kW and above the central subsidy is capped at ₹78,000. Additionally, Odisha State Financial Assistance (SFA) provides up to ₹60,000 extra for a 3 kW system.
